I started out reviewing luxury hotels for hospitality trade press — the kind of coverage built around thread counts and lobby design. It's useful work, but it answers a different question than the one most parents are actually asking, which is closer to: will this room work at 9pm when one kid is asleep and the other still needs a bath? Switching to family travel meant switching what I measure, not just who I write for.
Every city on this site gets the same process: I read every candidate hotel's own listing before touching a booking platform, cross-check star ratings and amenities against at least one independent source, and drop anything I can't verify rather than guess. Star ratings, addresses, and amenities on this site are real, checked facts — the "what we love" and "perfect for" notes are my own judgment, built on top of those facts, not invented around them.
